Mission Statement
Community & Conservation
Our mission is to support thriving aquatic environments and connected communities through responsible access to angling.
Fish Around the Forth exists to balance access with protection. We believe that making fishing more accessible should go hand in hand with safeguarding the rivers, lochs, and coastal waters that make it possible. By improving how people access and interact with these environments, we help create a culture of respect, responsibility, and long-term stewardship.
We are committed to reinvesting in the places and communities we serve. This includes supporting conservation initiatives, improving compliance and monitoring, and helping fisheries and local groups manage their waters more effectively. Through better data, better tools, and better visibility, we contribute to informed decision making that protects fish stocks and habitats.
Community sits at the centre of everything we do. We aim to remove barriers to access, support participation from all backgrounds, and strengthen the connection between people and the natural environments around them. Whether through education, responsible angling practices, or wider engagement, we believe that active, informed communities are key to the future of our waters.
Our role is to act as a long-term, trusted platform that benefits both people and nature, ensuring that angling continues to support healthy ecosystems, local economies, and future generations.
